Of course, someone with a mac and a little ruby know-how could produce an executable quite easily. I do intend to make a mac version, but at the moment my ibook is running linux, so it'll have to wait until i get it dual booting with osx. (if not i might rewrite it in some other language if i feel like facing a new challenge) I'll see if there is anything i can do to speed it up.

So at the moment its either wait 10 seconds, or install ruby, install wxruby, open the command line.blah blah blah.im sure most people dont want to go through that im just learning ruby and it was the easiest thing i found for turning the script into an executable. Yeah, the delay is because its basically the whole ruby environment packed into an archive.
